Price Twice
I have been playing trumpet and singing professionally for 57 years; sharing my passion for music with many people and performing in places such as Manhattan, Chicago, Boston, Paris, Japan, Amsterdam, Austria, Brazil and even the White House under President Reagan, but I still want to share my love of music with even more people! Taking my years of experience and classical musical training from Berklee College of Music in Boston, I’ve created two great music and cultural enrichment programs.
Ritchee Price & Friends: Tales from the Road
This program, great for libraries or for small private functions, I perform with my piano player for indoor events and with my jazz quintet for outdoor playing. We perform jazz and popular music from the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. We also interact with the audience talking about our experiences performing “on the road”. We love performing in libraries where we do not have to raise our volume!
Better Performing with Ritchee Price
This program, geared towards middle and high school music students (12 -18 years of age) currently in their school’s music program, I show students how to perform in public on their instrument as a soloist. Students will be put through a hands-on experience that will not only make them gain confidence in public performance but will also make them able to express themselves musically without the fear of making errors. With 30 years of music teaching experience, I can accommodate 20 to 75 students at a time. Usual program length is one hour and the music teacher is welcome to perform with the students, if possible.
